IFC METROPOL acted as a financial consultant to OAO Gazprom for the acquisition of 100% of OOO Purgazdobycha from OAO Novatek. Purgazdobycha owns a license for the development of the Zapadno-Tarkosolinskoye gas-oil-condensate deposit.

The deal envisaged the exchange of the assets between Gazprom and Novatek. As a result, Novatek bought the OAO Zapsibgazprom-owned 8.34% of shares of OAO Purneftegazgeologia. And Gazprom acquired 100% of OOO Purgazdobycha from Novatek. OOO Noyabrskgazdobycha will develop the Zapadno-Tarkosolinskoye deposit.
