From May, 27 till June, 1, 2005 in the capital of Venezuela, Caracas the First seminar on economic and investment cooperation between Venezuela and Russia took place. The seminar was held with the purpose of practical embodiment of the joint decision of the President of the Russian Federation V.V.  Putin and President of the Republic of Venezuela Ugo Chaves on the necessity of making more active the mutual relations between our countries in the field of economic cooperation. The heads of more than thirty leading Russian companies, including the General Director of the Investment Financial Company «METROPOL» M.V.  Slipenchuk, took part in the work of the seminar. The seminar was held in the form of presentations of Russian and Venezuelan enterprises, as well as round tables — sections on basic industries.
