The agreement on creation of "Corporation of Development of Transbaikalia" is signed. The agreement was signed by the President - Chairman of the Government of Republic Buryatiya V.V. Nagovitsyn, the Head of Administration of Chita region R.F. Geniatulin, Chairman of the Board of Joint-Stock Company "HidroOGK" V.J. Sinjugin and Director General of Open Society «MBC Corporation » O.V. Mihajlenko.
At the first stage founders of Corporation will be "HidroOGK" and companies included into the METROPOL Group. Subsequently the Government of Republic Buryatiya and administration of the Chita region are going to be participants of the Corporation. The Charter provides possibility of entering of other industrial and financial structures into the Corporation.
Main objective of the Corporation’s activity is creation of a new diversified energo-industrial region on the territory of Republic Buryatiya, the Chita region and adjoining regions, and also development of the Baikal-Amur Mainline zone. At the first stage the project provides preparation of the design estimate documentation concerning objects of hydro-and electric power industry, building of ore-dressing and metallurgical enterprises, railways and highways, other objects of infrastructure.
