Vice-mayor of Moscow V.J. Vinogradov, Chief of operative-administrative management of Moscow Government S.I. Veselovsky, prefect of Southern administrative district of Moscow P.P. Birjukov, Director General of IFC METROPOL M.V. Slipenchuk, a member of Presidium of the High council of the Russian union of martial arts A.B. Shturmin, representatives of federations of martial arts of Russia took part in the ceremony which took place on the 20th of July 2007.
Those who were present took notice of uniqueness of the complex which shall become the largest centre of single combats in the world and for the first time unite 32 Federations of martial arts where today tens of thousands of young people from all over the country are engaged. It was considered particularly symbolical that lying of Complex occurs at the time when Russia is officially declared the hostess country of the Winter Olympic Games - 2014.
The commencement of building of the Center became possible due to financial support of METROPOL Group of companies and also due to work of architectural and town-planning companies "АPМ", "Monarch Concern" and "Moskapstroy".
This multifunctional sports complex will be transferred into ownership of the Russian capital as a worthy gift to inhabitants of Moscow and all Russia.
