The Real Estate Investment Forum Tokyo – the largest Japanese conference on real estate investments – took place on September 11, 2008. The conference was organized by the Association for Real Estate Securitization of Japan, the Financial Service Agency of Japan, and the Tokyo Stock Exchange. More than 1,500 people representing the largest financial, development and construction companies of Japan, the United States and a number of other countries from the Asia-Pacific and other regions took part in the conference and its accompanying roundtables.
Head of METROPOL Group M. Slipenchuk presented a report on Investments in Russian Real Estate, which was delivered within the frameworks of the plenary session of the Investments in Real Estate of the Asia-Pacific Region Market conference. In his speech, M. V. Slipenchuk reported on the current state of the Russian commercial real estate market, and outlined the most significant development projects pursued by METROPOL Group in Russia and Montenegro. M. Slipenchuk also answered numerous audience questions concerning the development prospects facing both the Russian economy and the Russian real estate market amid the ongoing global financial crisis.
