MBC Corporation, Federal Grid Company of the Unified Energy System of Russia (JSC ‘FGC UES’) and the Government of the Republic of Buryatia singed  the cooperation agreement on the realization of the construction project of high-voltage transmission line ‘Double-circuit high voltage live 220 kV Ulan-Ude-Khorinsk-Eravna’, additional transformer ‘PS 220 kV Khorinsk’ and ‘PS220 kV Eravna’ within the framework of the approved investment program of JSC  ‘FGC UES’ for the period 2013-2017.
The parties, with collaborative engagement, will coordinate activities on the development of the electrical grid infrastructure, construction of the electrical grid facilities, elimination of security restrictions and shortage of power capacity. The work will be aimed at increase in reliability of power supply for Ozernoye mining and processing plant and other power consumers in Eravna, Khorinsks and Bauntovsk regions of the Republic of Buryatia.
The agreement and the work on the agreement implementation exhibit a practical example of the effective cooperation between the governmental authorities, Investment Company, which develops a large-scale deposit development project and the governmental power company. The cooperation will result in the sustainable development of the industrial and power economic sectors of the Republic of Buryatia and also in reliable and quality power supply for the population. 

Federal Grid Company of the Unified Energy System of Russia is the operator and manager of Russia’s unified electricity transmission grid system, including high voltage transmission lines, and holds the status of a natural monopoly. Federal Grid’s business is to provide electricity transmission and technological connection services.
