Investment and Financial Company METROPOL acted as the sellers’ financial consultant for a deal on the sale of 100% of Narodniy retail chain (Tatarstan) to X5 Retail Group closed on 30 June 2011.

This deal is IFC METROPOL’s first retail project. “Involvement in a deal between X5 Retail Group and Narodniy chain fully accords to the company’s strategy of active presence in the economy’s consumer sector”, underlines Alexander Zhizhin, managing director of the Corporate Finance Department of Investment and Financial Company METROPOL.
